OUR VISION OF SUSTAINABILITY

| Paragon logistics

It boils down to one simple goal: to help deliver a better future for everyone. The transport industry generates a large share of greenhouse gas emissions. We’re taking responsibility for our carbon footprint with a range of initiatives focused on reducing the carbon we generate, one delivery at a time.

A GREENER FLEET TODAY…

Our target is for all our vehicles to be fully emission-free as quickly as possible. We are working towards a greener, cleaner fleet today by rapidly increasing the electric and hybrid vans in our fleet, and ensuring that all city courier vehicles meet the government’s ultra-low emissions criteria with Euro 6 engines. E-vans, by definition, produce zero emissions. They are the ideal choice for customers who wish to balance efficiency and affordability with a commitment to sustainability.

… ZERO EMISSIONS TOMORROW

As alternative fuel technologies evolve, so too will our vehicle investments. We’re keeping a close eye on the development of hydrogen fuel cells for heavy goods vehicles. Our long-term goal is for our entire fleet to be fully net-zero by 2030. Until then, you can have confidence that your consignment will be delivered in the most environmentally friendly way possible.

GREENER ROUTES AND JOURNEY PLANNING

Optimising the routes our vehicles take has a major positive impact on both fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The technology we use allows us to map the shortest driving distances, select the most efficient routes, combine deliveries in the same route so fewer vehicles have to be on the road, and minimise time spent in traffic. To optimise every mile, we work hard to ensure our vehicles are never travelling a route with vacant capacity.

The result? Faster, cheaper deliveries for our customers and a drastic reduction in polluting emissions.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY ON AND OFF THE ROAD

Our fleet is only one part of our sustainability story. Our office is as paperless as we can make it, and the paper we do buy is always recycled. We have low-energy sensor-based lighting, cycle storage for office staff, and we’re eliminating all unnecessary single-use plastic. We prioritise suppliers who employ ethical practices over those who do not.

Our customers can easily see these commitments in action. All customer account activity, whether it’s bookings, scheduling, proof of delivery or invoicing, takes place online through the customer portal – never on paper. It’s a small thing that makes a big difference in saving resources.
